Yesterday (Friday) I met up with Lisa Forsyth, Client Manager Leisure & Cultural Services (to give her her full title!), and Jim Buchan from Continental Landscapes plus Chistine and Kate from the Isleworth Society to discuss how the £11,000 S106 Money available is spent on the Green.
Some great ideas were suggested and these will now be costed to make sure they fall within the budget so expext some very pleasant changes in a couple of months.

On my walk yesterday I again noticed that the Width Restricter on Church St had been damaged and this has of course now been reported.
I am pleased to say that shortly a whole new design of this pinch point will be installed which is long overdue.

Well I thought August would be pretty quiet with meetings etc but the opposite seems the case at the moment so far this month.
Monday started off with a trip to the Civic Centre to meet senior Officers regarding the Mogden Sewage Works and what possible further legal action could be taken if any to force Thames Water in to actually taking some steps to reduce the day on day stench.
It was agreed to hold another meeting ASAP with MRAG to consider all options and I hope this will be arranged very shortly.
Monday afternoon consisted of responding to some e-mail casework and a quicj visit to the Worton Estate before attending the Isleworth Comminity Safety Forum in the evening which was unfortunatly cancelled just as I arrived!! Still it gave me the perfect excuse to pop over the road in South St to the Castle to enjoy a couple of fine pints of Youngs before heading home.
Yesterday involved teo separate visits to the Ivybridge to again inspect the proposed Zebra crossing I hope will be implemented soon and also to visit a constituent on a Hounslow Homes matter.
Today (Wednesay) I spent the morning responding to approximately 20 e-mails on various matters before heading to a meeting I had arranged with the Traders on South St Isleworth.
I was extremely pleased so many turned up and we spent about an hour discussing their various issues and how as a local Cllr I could possibly help them in this finacial climate and also to explore how to improve the street scene etc. I really found this worthwhile and will be arranging another meeting with updates on the issues that concerned them.
A quick nip over the road then followed to the Isleworth Public Hall for a meeting with some residents from the Church St area who are after a 20mph speed limit locally and how we could implement this with keeping the character of the Conservation Area.
The meeting went extremely well and after a debate a show of hands on some minor technicalities it at last looks like the scheme will commence in a couple of months at long last.
Tomorrow is a day at the Oval for me so I am hoping for no rain but until then I will catch up on my latest batch of e-mails.
